Communities That Care (CTC) is a grassroots initiative whose mission is to mobilize our communities to build strong, positive alliances that achieve the best possible environment for our kids to grow into healthy, involved adults.
We promote effective collaboration between schools, health and human service agencies, government, law enforcement, local business, faith organizations, and the communities they serve. Our goals are to
- strengthen families,
- create school and community partnerships to support the development of elementary students,
- empower middle and high school youth for success, and
- ensure economic security for families and children.
We do this by identifying tangible needs through solid research, helping pull together community-initiated projects to meet these needs, and assisting communities to write collaborative grants and cost-effectively leverage their resources to make it all possible.
CTC is an independent non-profit dedicated to the process of building the character and competence of our youth through providing opportunities for positive growth and reducing risk factors in our communities.
